Precautions
This formula contains niacin, which may cause a transient "niacin flush" in most people. A warm feeling and a red flushing may spread over the extremities (sometimes accompanied by itching), and the heart may beat more strongly. This harmless phenomenom, which lasts for 20 to 30 minutes, is due to the increased blood flow to the extremities due to niacin-induced histamine release. The vitamin C in the formula helps to reduce the flush reaction. It is also important to take Enerex B Stress Free with a meal, as the presence of food in the stomach will also reduce the flushing effect.
Cautions
Some people may experience a flushing, burning, tingling or itching sensation on the face, arm or chest. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking sulfonamides. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have a history of systemic lupus erythematosus. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.
