It is commonly used as a culinary spice and preservative agent in foods. Oregano has been widely used in Europe as a spice in food and treasured for its value as an herbal supplement. NOW Oregano Oil is standardized to 55% Carvacrol, and is enteric coated to help protect the active ingredients from stomach acids in the digestive process and reduce repeat. Ginger and Fennel are added to help reduce unpleasant taste if there is repeat, but both help the digestive process. Fennel have a stimulating effect on bile that helps to breakdown fats and improve absorption of oregano oil. Ginger soothes the stomach lining and reduces stomach upset, which oregano can sometimes cause.
Directions
Adult Dosage: Take 1 softgel daily with meals. Take a few hours before or after taking supplements containing iron, zinc, calcium or copper.
