Our Hojicha bagged tea features a proprietary blend of high quality organic green tea leaves, pan-fired and slow roasted in the traditional methods in Kyoto. Most Hojicha tea uses lower quality Bancha leaves making for a bitter taste, however, DōMatcha®’s Organic Hojicha uses only 100% autumn leaves, offering notes of mesquite and an extremely smooth finish. Hojicha is often drunk after evening meals due to the lower caffeine content. Our tetra shaped teabags, made from biodegradable cornstarch, are used for a premium quality brew, releasing more nutrients and flavour than traditional teabags. No microplastics released into your cup, or the waterways from our teabags! Each bag can be used up to three times, providing approximately 60 servings per box.
