Medicinal Ingredients:
Each tea bag contains 370mg leaf of Betula pendula (Birch); 150mg herb top of Filipendula ulmaria (Meadowsweet); 230mg root of Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice); 300mg leaf of Ribes nigrum (Blackcurrant); 450mg leaf of Senna alexandrina (Senna).
Suggested Use
Recommended Dose (Adults):
Take 1 dose (1 tea bag) at bedtime. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the tea bag, let steep 5 to 15 minutes in a covered container. Take a few hours before or after taking other medication or natural health products. Ensure adequate intake of fluids. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take 2 or 3 times per week. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily.

Cautions/Warnings:
Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen; prior to use: if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever; if you are taking products containing NSAIDs, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other salicylates, anticoagulants, blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder; if you have asthma. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea.
Contraindications:
Do not use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease (e.g. Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis), abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes; if you are taking diuretics, corticosteroids, additional licorice root, other stimulant laxatives or medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have hypokalemia (low potassium levels), heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes, edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or diarrhea; if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other salicylates.
Known Adverse Reactions:
Hypersensitivity has been known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal beat and/or difficulty breathing. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal on bag is broken.
